Casting Call for Cinderella
Are you Cinderella or an evil stepsister? Are you a mouse or the fairy godmother? Get a chance to be your favorite character in this classic fairy tale this summer.
A musical production of Cinderella will be performed for the public (free admission) on Thursday, August 5th as part of the Open Air Summer Family Concert Series under the big tent at the Upper Valley Events Center. Directed by Julian DeFelice and assisted by Laura Shepard (Thetford), the show will be about participation and fun for cast and audience alike. Julian says, “The audience knows the story and will love to see the characters. I welcome all abilities and ages to join in the fun.”
Practices will be at the Upper Valley Events Center from 5 to 7 PM each Monday-Thursday, July 26-29 and Monday, Tues, Wed August 2 – 4. Dress rehearsal and performance on Thursday, August 5th 4 to 8 PM. Not all practices need to be attended. The directors will work with your schedule. Families are encouraged to participate (note the after-work hours for practices). Roles include: Cinderella, stepsisters and mother, prince, fairy godmother, mice and others. Stage management, set, costume and other non-acting roles are available as well.
